2020 Pathway Nurse of the Year Award™
The ANCC Magnet Prize is presented to a Magnet-designated organization whose program or project best represents exemplary achievements in patient care services, including initiatives in healthcare delivery and research leading to innovations that result in positive outcomes.
Winners selected for the 2019 ANCC Magnet Prize will present their work funded by the monies they were awarded.
The 2020 ANCC Magnet Prize is sponsored by Cerner, a leading supplier of health care information technology. By sponsoring the ANCC Magnet Prize with its $75,000 award, Cerner is committed to ANCC’s focus on innovation in nursing to increase support for patient safety and nursing excellence.
The ANCC Magnet Nurse of the Year awards recognize the outstanding contributions of clinical nurses in each of the five Magnet® Model Components:
The ANCC Pathway Award, sponsored by Cerner, supports the efforts of the Pathway facilities’ advancements in a program that promotes the use of state-of-the-art technology in the practice setting. The $50,000 award will honor a project proposal in a Pathway to Excellence® designated organization that demonstrates innovation and technology to create a positive practice environment.
The ANCC Pathway Nurse of the Year Award recognizes the outstanding contributions made by a direct care nurse and a nurse leader globally from a Pathway organization. These two individuals will have impacted the practice environment by demonstrating remarkable skills in working collaboratively with team members and integrating clinical expertise with compassionate patient interactions.

Can I share my registration link with my colleagues?
Yes, this is a free event and registration is open to anyone.
I thought I had registered, but on May 14th I realized I forgot, what should I do?
Email meetings@ana.org or visit ANCC National Awards to get registered. An email containing access to the awards ceremony will be sent to you after you have completed registration.
What operating system do I need for the platform?
The event will be livestreamed on a web-based platform. The web platform is compatible with all browsers including mobile devices.
What internet capacity is recommended?
You should have a strong broadband connection with a speed of at least 1.4 Mbps download. If your connection is slower, load times may take longer than normal. Other helpful tips:

How do I log on to participate in the ANCC National Awards?
You will receive an email with the hyperlink in the afternoon of May 13. Click the hyperlink to gain access to the livestream. If you do not receive this email, you may not be registered, see registration section of the FAQ for assistance.

Can I access a recording of the ANCC National Awards after the event?
Yes, a recording will be posted on the ANA and ANCC YouTube channels and a link will be sent to you to view after the event.
