ABOUT
nursesLogo

As part of the Year of the Nurse global initiative, ANA is working to advance nurses’ vital position in transforming healthcare. In that spirit, The Washington Post and the American Nurses Association (ANA) are proud to partner to present Star Nurses, a new nurse-recognition event that will honor patient, consumer, and peer-nominated RNs — the best of the best — in the DMV area.

Do you know a nurse with star qualities? Here’s your chance to give them the recognition they deserve and to show the DMV area that your nominee is a shining star in nursing.

ANA will evaluate the nominations to select the region’s top six registered nurses. Two winners will be selected from each DMV region: two winners from Maryland, two winners from Washington, DC, and two winners from Virginia.

The winners will be announced at a virtual event in May 2021.
