Emily Emma DNP, RN-BC, NEA-BC
Director for Magnet and Professional Practice at Stony Brook Medicine on Long Island, New York. Emily received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Molloy College and accepted a role as a new graduate nurse in a critical care fellowship. During this time, she developed a passion for nursing leadership and management thus enrolling in a BSN to DNP program in nursing leadership and management at The George Washington University. Throughout her academic journey, Emily held various clinical and leadership positions including assistant nurse manager then nurse manager of an orthopedic unit, nurse manager of a progressive care unit and telemetry unit. In addition, Emily has assumed the role of undergraduate clinical instructor for two local universities which combines her love of clinical nursing and leadership. In her current role, Emily uses her leadership skills as she spearheads the Magnet journey of a large, academic, university hospital.

Sarah J. Locke DNP, MBA, FNP-BC, NE-BC, RNC-OB

Dr. Locke is a nursing professional with 25 years of progressive health care experience. She worked as an RN, primarily in obstetrics, for a decade before practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in primary care. Dr. Locke received her DNP in Advanced Practice Leadership and Executive MBA in Health Administration, and she is board-certified as an FNP and Nurse Executive through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Currently, Dr. Locke is a full-time appointed Assistant Clinical Professor in the University of Arizona DNP program, while also practicing clinically for Village Medical.
