Leading. Learning.
Preconference Event at AONL 2020
March 18, 2020 | Nashville, TN

There is no better time for nurses to lead the charge in ensuring that patients and communities receive high-quality and safe healthcare. To do this, we must create an environment where learning and NCPD is leveraged to achieve organizational goals.

Nursing professional development (NPD) practitioners are transforming nursing professional practice and the future of nursing — through leading learning. NCPD is the catalyst to inspire growth and development, ignite professional passion, and spark innovation in nursing practice.

Attend the ANCC NCPD Summit 2020 to ignite your passion, to be inspired, and to innovate in your practice. Leave feeling empowered, engaged, and energized as a part of a community of practice that uses professional development in preparing nurses to drive change and achieve key results.

Beyond Basic Training: Unleashing the Power of Nursing Continuous Professional Development

All too often, NPD practice is equated to orientation and onboarding. While those are components, they are far from its totality. NPD is a powerful tool for change that builds armies of nursing leaders, especially at the frontline. It helps organizations surpass desired outcomes and it operationalizes the vision of the nurse executive. NPD practitioners must understand its broad scope and impact and leverage it to thrust organizations and healthcare forward. This session will challenge attendees to assess their effectiveness as dynamic, boundary-pushing NPD leaders using compelling exemplars to demonstrate NPD success while examining the many facets of cutting-edge NPD practice.
